About us
The Centre
The CIGA mission is making researches on ethical and social implications of nanotechnology; analysing the frameworks of legal regulation of new technologies and namely of nanotechnologies; promoting interdisciplinary exchanges on these topics; improving the public debate on implications of new technologies.
The Centre is promoted by the Department of Philosophy and by the Department of Comparative Law of Padua University, thanks to funding by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo. It is part of a wider research framework, coordinated by Veneto Nanotech: the European Center for the Sustainable Impact of NT (ECSIN), testing consequences on human health and environment of diagnostic and drug delivering devices.
